The Story

Winnegance Oyster farm is located on the beautiful, pristine New Meadows River in West Bath, Maine. The site was chosen for its cold, clean water, strong tides, and shelter from storms.

Every aspect of the farm was planned with environmental sustainability in mind.

These Maine oysters are grown in floating traps to promote clean, hard shells and to minimize disturbance of the ocean floor. Nothing is added to the water- the oysters eat the abundant plankton that is naturally found in the New Meadows River. The farm acts as an artificial reef, giving our native oysters a safe place to grow while providing a habitat for wild marine life like juvenile baitfish.

The Winnegance oysters have a medium brine, pronounced sweetness, and lingering savory-meaty finish. They are typically a 3" size.

Sourced directly from local Maine oyster farm, Winnegance Oysters.

*Consuming raw or undercooked seafood may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions.
